PostDoctoral Associate

BrombergLab

Department of Biology

Dr. Prabakaran is a computational biologist interested in the evolution of biomolecules - specifically, the evolution of protein conformational dynamics, function, and interactions across the dark matter of microbial life. With expertise spanning protein and DNA language models, graph neural networks, contrastive learning, and molecular simulation, his research bridges knowledge gaps in biology through AI models and representation learning. He currently develops AI methods for functional metagenomics part of the ENIGMA project, including the REBEAN DNA language model, alongside approaches for reliability-aware prediction such as the Random Neighbor Score.
